Zion School Academic Teams have been very active and successful lately.  Below are pictures of the various teams with details of what has been happening.

Pictured below are students that attended the Stilwell S.C.O.R.E. contest on September 20th.  Students that placed were; Kaci O'Fields, Rachel Lea, Brooke Chastain, Justin Crozier, Steven Paden, and Magen Lawrence.  Brooke Chastain qualified for State in Social Studies!  Congratulations!!

 

 

Pictured here are students that attended the Peggs Academic Meet on October 12th.

 

The students below placed at the Peggs Meet and include L to R; front row - Destiny Bentz, Hanna Kindle, Kalyn Croley, and Kaci O'Fields. Back row - Brooke Chastain, Justin Crozier, Heath Eubanks, and Rachel Lea.  Hanna Kindle qualified for State in Language Arts and Rachel Lea qualified for State in Social Studies and Humanities.  Congratulations!!

 

 

The Zion Fifth Grade Academic Team participated in the Adair County Buzzer Bowl on October 17th where they placed Second overall.  Team members pictured below from left to right are; Courtney Kimble, Janice Wolfe, Lyndsi Junker, Lauren Latta, Jacob Fuson, and Tyler Watkins.  Congratulations!!

 

 

The Seventh and Eighth Grade Buzzer Team competed in the ORES State Buzzer Contest on October 29th and place Ninth overall out of 34 teams!  The team also took part in the Adair County Eighth Grade Buzzer Bowl on November 7th and took First Place!!  The team pictured below consists of from left to right; Magen Lawrence, Heath Eubanks, Andrew Fletcher, Steven Paden, Rachel Lea, and Justin Crozier.  Congratulations!!!

 

 

Below are the students that attended the Tahlequah Academic Meet on November 4th.

 

Team members that placed at the Tahlequah Meet are shown below left to right; Rachel Lea, Hanna Kindle, Destiny Bentz, Tracy Doublehead, Steven Paden, and Justin Crozier.  Students that qualified for State were; Destiny Bentz - Mathematics, Tracy Doublehead - English, Steven Paden - English, and Rachel Lea - English.  Congratulations!!
