Zion School Classes Begin August 7th

Zion School students will begin the 2019 - 2020 school year on Wednesday, August 7th. Classes will begin at 8:15 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Buses will run their regular routes and breakfast and lunch will be served. School supplies will be furnished as needed. Student supply lists are available at Walmart for those who wish to buy supplies. Extended care services will begin with the after school session on Wednesday afternoon until 5:30 p.m. for 3 year olds through first grade students. Second grade through eighth grade students will have extended care services provided through Boys and Girls Club until 6:30 p.m. Morning extended care services will begin on Thursday, August 8th at 6:30 a.m. Three year old students through first grade students will continue to report to the preschool building. Second grade students through eighth grade students will report to the middle school extended care.

Open House will be held on Tuesday, August 6th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Parents are urged to bring their children to meet their teachers and visit their classrooms. Refreshments will be served.

Early childhood students may also enroll at the open house on Tuesday afternoon or in the school office between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, until school starts. Students must be 3 years old by September 1st to be eligible for the 3 year old preschool program; 4 years old by September 1st to enroll in the 4 year old preschool program; or 5 years old by September 1st to enroll in kindergarten. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, social security card, CDIB and Sooner Care card (if applicable).

New students in grades KG – 8th may enroll in the school office Monday through Thursday, between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., until school starts or during open house on Tuesday, August 6th. Enrollment packets will be sent home with returning Zion students on August 7th, or they may be picked up in the school office before school starts. 

All Zion faculty and staff will meet in the school cafeteria on August 5th at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast followed by professional development training.
