Dear Zion Families,
I’d like to invite you personally to our first Family Engagement Event for 2023 since our last event was canceled to due to weather. The event is February 28th. Attached is a flier/ registration form. We send out a registration form for each event to prepare for our activities. We take each name and enter into our drawings for “Make & Take” kits, so you can experience these fun activities at home together.
You may be wondering what a Family Engagement Event is? It’s an event that provides activities for the whole family. It builds the bridge for students, parents and community to our school. These events will be hosted once a month from 5:30 p.m-6:30 p.m with different activities through our partnerships. The Cherokee Nation Foundation will be there for the 8th grade's parents who are interested in Oklahoma's Promise to prepare for college. We also will be hosting a blood drive provided by the Oklahoma Blood Institute at the New Gym and our main event is a literacy painting activity with our very own Mrs. Eubanks.
Our grant is designed to offer opportunities for our students, parents and the community.
